I am well and truly addicted to the Academy! The self working tricks taught here are absolutely brilliant and Liam Montier is the perfect teacher. What more can I say other than book this course before it's too late! 10/10 and more!!!

Liam is like the Godfather of self workers. He brings us Bannon and his own DVD's here and they are terrific. But feeling his personality live, asking the questions brings a whole different element. Like the great trick, this two day course is a TRIUMPH.

No,No,No Do not book on this Course. Don't even think about booking this course. Liam is a real life Jedi, he will mess with your mind. You will never ever, think about magic the same again. Liam's easy style will draw you in. Do NOT be fooled, this guy is a serious Card Ninja. Liam is the a walking, talking encyclopaedia of magic. Do Not book this course, unless you seriously, seriously want to be fooled. amazed and ultimately rock your magic.

Learning from a legend is never a bad thing. Liam is fantastic and explains the tricks, methods and psychology why brilliantly. You know anything from the Academy is going to be great and Liam doesn't disappoint. You need this academy in your life. Great stuff you can do at the drop of a hat. Even with a borrowed deck.

Self working card tricks. Why would I want to waste my time on that sort of thing. Only beginners perform these sort of tricks!!!!!!! IF THAT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING YOU WOULD AGREE WITH THEN YOU REALLY NEED TO READ ON. Liam Montier is a master at this art and yes it is an art. There is a place for self workers and that is in everyone repertoire. Slieght free and very often easy to do, which gives you the time to perform in comfort and really put on a strong show. This is a review of the first day of a two day course and it is "fantastic". Yet again, Alakazam have invited another brilliant magicain to become one of it's, many, highly talanted tutors. The relaxed atmosphere and being able to jump in at any time and ask a question or for a move to be shown again. This is what makes Alakazam's Academies such a brill way to learn and also interact with other magicians of all stages of their journies, be it beginer, professional or hobbiest. Liam's explanations, performance advice and tips are invaluable and his CARDIGAN wearing technique is the best in the modern world. Treat yourself or black mail someone to pay for this course. Remember, you are never truely alone in the universe. Someone can always find a pack of cards and hit you with that, not to be dreaded sentance. You're a magician, show us a trick. Liam has your back on this one. GREAT ++++++++++++++++

Good that I followed my intuition for this course, impressive card tricks that can be mastered without super skilful card acrobatics.The mood is again very relaxed and full of humor. Absolutely recommended also for beginners.

Another fantastic Academy course. Only half way through Liams 1st day of his 2 day course and what an course this is. Great tricks and teaching. I love the stapled jokers trick and will definitely be using that. Liam is a lovely guy and a great teacher. Looking very much forward to the res of his course. Well done Liam...

Well if you want to learn some self working card tricks and how to really sell them to an audience, then Liam is your man - he is the master of self working card tricks. He teaches the importance of putting together small sets of self workers with some that can be set up on the fly - brilliant. These self workers all look great and will completely baffle an audience and yet no flashy moves or sleight of hand - Wow! If you have ever seen any of Liam's work then you already know how good he is. If you haven't then you are seriously missing out on great magic that is super easy to do and gets great reactions. The Academy is certainly the best place for Liam to show off his skills, laid back charm and great teaching skills.

Liam was the guy I brought my first magic dvd from. I just known that this will be good, when it was announced. Liam is just layed backed and relaxed. If you did not buy this for day one, buy it before it comes off the site. Even though these are self workers, they can and will fool people. Just put in the same effort, and you will have some great routines at hand.

Only half way through day one but already value for money. Liam has an easy going approach, is fluid in explanation and pairs well with the Academy setup. Another Winner!

I know I always say this about the Academy courses BUT... it needs to be said again... I got twice the entry fee in the first 15 minutes... Liam is so FUN to watch and see how he connects the dots w/ AWESOME self workers that look like brilliant sleight of hand... you could watch this course and go out tomorrow and fry people! A+++

I love seeing a relaxed Liam just chatting about magic. He is teaching a tonne of great tricks but also explaining why they work. Another great course and the unbeaten run continues for the Academy...Well done Liam!

Wasn't quite sure what to expect with self working effects BUT this is fantastic !!!! The physiological tips and simple forces are worth the price of the course on their own, The effects are wonderful and although I know I need to practice presentation I feel I can genuinely have a go at all of these and look pretty professional. Alakazam team great as usual.Highly recommended !!!!!!!!!!

I know it's probably strange to be writing a review before the event but having seen Liam's self workers in previous projects I have absolutely no doubt that this course will be a truly amazing couple of days of card magic. Whether you are a complete beginner, a working pro or anything in between you WILL get something of value from this course. I've gained a lot from Liam's other self working card projects in terms of fantastic effects that I regularly use but what I'm really looking forward to is Liam's take on structuring these tricks into complete routines that flow. Liam is a brilliant teacher and as usual learning the material 'Academy' style means that you get SO much more information than you would on any DVD. Thanks for offering this course Liam and well done team Alakazam for organising it all!
