I have been performing Magic professionally for over thirty years and have seen most lectures and DVDs but I have to say I was deeply impressed by John’s Coin Course. It was very comprehensive and John explains everything on great detail with Dave helping explain things further without interrupting or being annoying. Peters’s covering of coin gaffs was a splendid addition. I have been performing coin routines in my sets for many years but I still learned a lot from the guys. I am now seriously considering the Zero To Hero Card Course. Well done everyone!

Okay I look like a proper 'coin mechanic' now thanks to this awesome Academy. John Carey (along w/ Dave, Peter & Sarah) are BRILLIANT in making it easy to understand... Video Quality is beyond great with multiple camera angles (thanks H) and YES they will re-do a move at from another angel if you didn't quite get it. This is the ABSOLUTE BEST WAY to hone your Magic Skills and be part of a REAL GROUP of peeps that CARE about YOUR SUCCESS!

I am not a professional magician but just a beginner. I do magic just as an hobby and perform for my friends. So I was completely new to coin magic. I love the first session on the course. I was able to understand everything but a lot of practice will be needed. The course was perfectly organized. The quality of the image was so good. John Carey is a great teacher and a very nice person. His method to teach was very clear even to me. My congratulation to all Alakazam team. This course was a great purchase at a very reasonable price. See you this evening for the second part.

John Carey has a unique, laid back approach to teaching. This, combined with the Academy setup of multiple camera angles and interaction through the chat room makes this a learning experience second to none. I am only at the halfway point on this coin course but already I feel I have received excellent value for money. So much additional value comes from the small asides of tips and nuances that you would not get from a totally scripted DVD. The Academy experience and John Carey have set the bar extremely high in the field of magic tuition.

Now I know how good John Carey is at performing and teaching card magic but coins as well. He has got to be better at one or the other, or so I thought. The man is a living Leg End, sorry legend. The way he clearly breaks down various coin moves and builds them almost second by second to ensure correct technique is learnt is stunning. John then explains and shows that very same coin move from multiple angles and shows the correct speed and natural pause points to ensure perfect technique is shown and hopefully achieved. There is no need to try and slow down a DVD to see what is actually happening, or what you believe is happening and still getting it wrong. With the Academy if you are not sure, all you need to do is ask a question and it will be clarified and shown again until everyone is happy. This is the only way to learn any type of magic, full stop. Thanks John and all at Alakazam.

An incredibly comprehensive introduction to coin magic from first principles. Fantastic camera angles really help to explain all the moves. I'll be sure to re-watch again and again from my account. Thank you to the Alakazam team and John Carey for the best teaching platform in magic.

This is an excellent course, both for a beginner or as a refresher after some time away from coin magic. John is an excellent teacher; combined with the multiple camera angles makes this an excellent educational resource. It's great to be able to ask questions and clarify certain things unlike usual DVDs. Highly recommended.

I have kept away from coin magic thinking that it is difficult and time consuming to learn. The first half of this course has really inspired me to learn coin magic. John is a fantastic teacher. Thorough and in depth in his teaching. With some great tips in handling the coins. A really inspirational course that I am really glad I invested in. I will definitely be putting the time into learning the sleights and techniques that John is teaching. Thank you to John and Alakazam for having this course. Without this I know that I would never take the plunge into coin magic.

Blimey, only at half time on day one and it has been amazing. As a newbee to coin magic it has been enlightening to say the very least. So much has been taught I can't wait to sit down and really study it all again on playback at my leisure. This is my third course and as usual it is superb, fantastic instruction, great high definition camera angles including overheadwhich really explains what exactly is going on. Well done John Carey and well done Alakazam. Looking forward to Zero to Hero, Leo Smetsers and Paul Gordon.

Absolutely incredible. Halfway through first session and it's so good taking time to really analyse the basics. I've learned some of the stuff in the past but not in this detail. Once again, the real gems are the tips, hints and advice about handling and performance. so much wisdom and help, stuff that you can't put a price on. Great bits of banter in the chat too. Love these academy sessions.

This is just terrific !!!!! I know there is no short cut to good coin magic and have always thought it too difficult but John has instilled the enthusiasm and knowledge to really give it a go. The techniques and subtleties taught are broken down and explained with clarity and the camera angles enhance the experience as does the clarity of both sound and picture. The interaction from Peter is superb. So glad I have signed up for the Zero to Hero coarse. Highly recommended and don't miss out !!!!!!!!!

Such a good course. I am totally addicted to this personal way of learning. The image quality and camera angles are spot on. I am only a hobbyist but this is defiantly money well spent. Thanks guys!

What John did for card magic in Zero to Hero he is doing again here for coins.Not to be missed - great work from John and all those different camera angles really help.

I cannot stress out how glad I am that I made this purchase. John Carey has given some great ideas and pointers on coin magic, from disappearing to appearing coins to different types of moves to improve those disappearing and appearing coins. Well worth the purchase. John Carey magic is a must have and must learn.

As for the cards, this course is worth 10 times its price in learning stuff... I'll be using it over and over, really well explained and showed. I LOVE it, Alakazam online academy is TOP.

So much content delivered in a relaxed engaging style - brilliant value. Seeing the coins in John's hands including great overhead camera shots brings moves that I've tried and failed to understand in the past from books into clear daylight. Bravo!
