Welcome to my first set of digital lecture notes, From The Inside Looking Out. Included within are several effects that I have been using for the last few years and that have proven to be winners at paid engagements.

These select effects require only minimal sleight of hand and are strong in effect. I have had a lot of fun performing these effects and hope you get as much enjoyment as I have.

The Quantum Card

A clean vanish of a randomly selected card that appears in a wallet on the table in front of the spectator throughout.

Never Play Cards With Strangers

A multi-phase card cheating demo that gives the impression of ultimate control over a deck of cards but requires only basic to intermediate handling. If you wanted a strong routine to convince your audience never to play cards with you, then this could be it!

Seclusion

An unknown card is isolated in your pocket. A card is fairly thought of under test conditions. The thought of card vanishes and is very cleanly shown to be the card previously placed in your pocket.

The Pop and Take Move

A unique new coin sleight that can be used in a multitude of ways for classic effects such as coins across, coins through table and transpositions.

There is so much great material on this monster 2 hour download! Andy is super knowledgeable about magic and hence all his methods have so many lovely subtleties and interesting finesse’s, which are particularly thought provoking and made me think about how to incorporate them into my own magic. The Quantum Card twists an old principle on its head. The Gambling demo is one great magic moment after another. I loved all the insights on spectator cuts aces plot, as well as being able to practice more difficult sleights whilst the heat is off the hands. As for the coin magic section- I’ve never been a fan of the pop-up move, but Andy’s application has made me rethink that and I’ve been playing around with it ever since. There’s also lots of great advice in the interview at the end. I can highly recommend this to magicians of all skill levels.
