The Human Abacus Is Perfect For The Parlour Or Stage Performer.

From the minds of Sean Taylor and Richard Paddon this brilliant effect is not only baffling and entertaining but lends itself perfectly to either a serious or light-hearted presentation. Whichever way you go with it the impact will be the same, HUGE!

Early in 2018 I purchased the rights to two effects from Sean, his Pi Book Test and Flash Addition routine.  After playing with them for a while I realised that they fitted together beautifully together to form a brilliant multi-phased routine.

After a little brainstorming the Alakazam team came up with a few killer endings....

The Mental Mathematician

For your final feat of amazing mind-power your spectator just thinks of the digits as he inputs them in to the calculator and by reading his mind you can solve the sum.

The Sum Swami

You can prove that you predicted the final outcome well ahead of time.

And There’s More

Not only will you solve a huge sum before your spectator has even put the first line of digits into the calculator but you have even solved sum on the other side of the board!

Terrific routine and well-made props. Easy to do, but to be fully transparent, two of the three routines with the Pi Book require very basic math skills. How basic? I was literally able to do all three routines for my wife within 15 mins of receiving the product, and she loved it! Although there are some interesting ideas provided for the ending, I'm not sure either of them work for me so I will be continuing to think about how to wrap this up. Arthur Benjamin has some similar ideas in his course on Math and Magic, so maybe I'll find inspiration there. All in all, this is a top notch product with clear instructions and excellent props. It is versatile and leaves room for your own style, and it will play BIG!

WOW! Top quality props that will make you look like a 'math wizard' in a matter of minutes. I love being able to say I have memorized Pi to 4000 - and then prove it with the included "Life of Pi' book. Add in the table stand and numbers and you will be doing math faster than anyone in the room with a calculator. GREAT EFFECT that packs a punch plus leaves it open to add your own twists to the routine.

Have not yet revived the props but did get the download of the method . The package looks really professional and well made. The instructions are well explained with the promise of much more to come. I was familiar with the method for the boards which is very deceptive and very easy. I personally would not repeat too often and the larger the number the more likely something may be spotted. The book test is fantastic with three phases possible. The guys suggest that a comic presentation deflects from the possible monotony of a maths demo and suggest methods of achieving this but for me i want this as an opener especially for a corporate environment where you start by illustrating an impressive skill that is possible to learn building in impossibility to other effects demonstrating intuition etc No maths skill is required or memory work A quality Alakazam release and highly recommended !!!!
